On the basis of the preliminary increase, it added an additional 600,000 kilowatts of load to Hubei Province on January 14. . This is the fifth time since December 25th last year, from the morning to the evening at 9:00 a.m., the additional 500,000 kilowatts was added to support the city of Chongqing, and after the 600,000 kilowatts was added on January 10 this year to support Hubei Province, the Three Gorges Power Station decided to increase the power load for the third time. . The average daily load of the Three Gorges power station is 7.25 million kilowatts, the trough is about 6.7 million kilowatts, and the peak is about 7.8 million kilowatts. It is expected that the entire power increase will continue until the end of January.

The Three Gorges additional power generation will continue to provide ecological water supply to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River during the dry season. On the 24th, the Three Gorges storage flow was about 5,700 cubic meters per second, the outflow was about 7,000 cubic meters per second, and the reservoir water level was reduced to 172.3 meters. Since December 29 last year, the Three Gorges has paid about 2.4 billion cubic meters of water for the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.

After the project was basically completed in 2009, it began to exert its ecological replenishment effect for the first time at the end of November of that year. By the end of April 2010, the replenishment process was over. The water level of the Three Gorges Reservoir fell from 171.43 meters to 153.68 meters. The accumulated water supply during the fall period was 13.83 billion cubic meters. It plays an important role in ensuring the shipping, production and domestic water use in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River during the dry season.
