The development and construction of auto parts manufacturing bases has been in progress for nearly 10 years, which has played an important role in the development of China's spare parts industry. In combination with practice, the author proposes five suggestions for the development of auto parts manufacturing bases.

First, industrial clusters should be included in auto parts manufacturing bases.

China has more than a hundred industrial clusters for auto parts, but industrial clusters are not equal to manufacturing bases. In the future, we may consider adding more industrial clusters to the scope of management of manufacturing bases, thereby bringing China's auto parts industry to a new height.

Second, strengthen the technical cooperation between companies within the base.

At present, many parts and components companies attach great importance to technological development. However, due to lack of research and development funds, low R&D results, and low levels, it is impossible to achieve the height, depth, and breadth of the current world technological advancement needs. At the same time, it also caused a waste of funds and time. As a platform for the parts and components industry, the base proposes to organize the enterprises within the base, classify them according to the requirements of technology, technology, and materials, concentrate the limited R&D funds, and invest them in the research and development of the system. In this way, on the one hand, R&D results can reach a certain height and the gap with the international level can be narrowed. On the other hand, R&D results can be shared by fund-raising companies and achieve common improvement.

Third, we must further establish a platform for communication and information exchange.

At present, it is difficult for China's private parts and components enterprises to enter the supporting system of international brands. It is suggested that the base should further develop its advantages in clusters and build a platform for communication and cooperation among parts and components companies, including inviting host companies to conduct site visits.

In the aftermarket, the base should also give full play to the advantages of information exchange. The base has a large number of parts and components manufacturing companies and a large number of products, the industry concentration is very high, the product not only has many varieties and specifications, but also has a great price advantage. An important task of the manufacturing base is to build a platform for the introduction of buyers.

To this end, it is recommended that the center set up a parts display center to display the base companies and base products in a centralized manner so that buyers can easily find suitable companies and suitable products.

Fourth, the use of local industry associations to promote the construction of the base.

As an industry organization of local enterprises, the industry association has a large contingent of corporate members and has a great influence and appeal in the local industry. It is an important promoter of the promotion of base construction. The association devotes itself to industry work, has special research and understanding of the government’s policies and management, has close contacts and contacts with the base companies, and can establish channels and bridges for mutual communication between the government and enterprises. Released, the company’s demands were promptly reflected to the government, and the government’s intentions were promptly communicated to the company, ensuring the effective operation of the base.

Making good use of the strength of local associations will greatly benefit the construction of the base.

Fifth, the experience of assembling all the bases was theorized and used to guide the next step.

The construction of parts and components manufacturing base is a development model of the auto industry with Chinese characteristics, and there is no ready-made experience to learn from. China has a vast territory. In the east and mid-west, and in the south and north, due to the imbalance in economic development, the difference in base construction will inevitably exist. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers has made some attempts to exchange experience in carrying out its base work, but it is not enough. It is recommended that the China Automotive Industry Association improve the success of each base by summing it up to a theoretical height to guide the further development of the base.
