Yuchai Goes to Kunlun Mountain for Engine Plateau Calibration Test

After more than one month of meticulous preparation, the fifth plateau calibration team of Yuchai Engine went to the Kunlun Mountain in Xining Golmud at an altitude of 4,500 meters on July 19, 2011 for four National IV diesel engines, three gas engines, and one A total of eight types of engineering machines were used to perform the external characteristics, universal characteristics, and electrical control optimization calibration tests at different altitudes. The entire itinerary is approximately 15,000 kilometers, with a duration of 70 days, and a rig test plan of 300 hours.

In order to improve the adaptability of Yuchai's engines in different environments, Yuchai has been sending teams to carry out the engine plateau, high-temperature, and high-temperature calibration tests in the harshest natural environments in China since 2007. To ensure the effectiveness of the plateau test, Yuchai independently developed a dedicated mobile platform for plateau tests. Up to now, a total of more than 20 models of plateau calibration tests have been completed, laying a solid foundation for improving the performance of the Yuchai Engine Plateau.

In order to complete the plateau calibration test of a number of electronically controlled engines, Yuchai Engineering Institute has developed a detailed plateau calibration plan. Starting from June, a series of preparations have been started, including the maintenance and security inspection of departing vehicles, test prototypes and mobile stations. Frame debugging, spare parts preparation and so on. For the plateau reaction and test failures that may occur during the plateau calibration work process, the team members have also made adequate preparations in advance.

DIN Standard

German industrial standard: Deutsche industrie normung, its English name is German DIN standard battery, lets take the model number of 54434 battery as an example, which is described as follows:


1. If the model number starting with 5 indicates that the rated capacity of the battery is less than 100 AH. The beginning 6 indicates that the battery capacity is between 100Ah and 200Ah. Starting with 7 indicates that the rated capacity of the battery is greater than 200Ah. For example, the rated capacity of 54434 batteries is 44Ah. The rated capacity of the 61017MF battery is 110Ah. 70027 The rated capacity of the battery is 200Ah.

2. The two digits number behind the capacity indicate the battery size and group number.

3.MF indicates maintenance-free.

4. The American standard battery can also be expressed in this way :78-600,78 indicates the battery size group number,600 indicates that the cold start current is 600A.

Note: â‘  Cold start current (CCA): The minimum current in a particular sense that can be obtained under the conditions of -17.8C and -28.9C. This index relates the starting capacity of the battery to important variables such as engine displacement, compression ratio, temperature, starting time, technical status of the engine and electrical system, and the minimum service voltage for starting and ignition. It refers to the minimum current that a fully charged 12V battery can supply when its terminal voltage drops to 7.2V within 30s. The cold start rating gives the total current value.
