Through two years of expansion, the size of the Dongyang White factory has nearly doubled. The Dongyang White factory started construction in June 2004 and started production in the first quarter of 2006. The newly hired 200 employees include maintenance technicians and production workers. The Dongyang White factory has a production and storage area of ​​over 1.8 million square feet and a total investment of nearly US$400 million. It is one of the world’s most advanced modern tire factories. The White factory is the only tire factory in Toyo North America. The local government had provided financial support to Toyo in terms of infrastructure construction. Jim Hawk, President and CEO of Toyo North America, stated: "With the efforts of all employees of Toyo and the assistance of the Georgia State Government, we will achieve better results."
