Compared with the existing copper wire and metal superconducting wire, Sumitomo Electric developed the 400MPa ultra-high strength superconducting wire with high current density to miniaturize all kinds of equipment. At the same time, the diameter of the superconducting wire has been reduced by about 30%. It can be applied to coils with smaller diameters.

Sumitomo Electric Industries uses this wire for sale in the ultra-high-strength superconducting wire "DI-BSCCO Type HT-NX". In addition, the future will also explore the zero-current value of 200A bismuth-based high temperature superconducting wire mass production problems.
