Recently, the first domestic 2.6 million-ton/year diesel liquid-phase circulating hydrogenation industrial device with international advanced level was opened up in Sinopec Shijiazhuang Refining & Chemical Company to produce qualified products and achieved a successful drive. This device is the first domestic up-flow diesel liquid-phase circulating hydrogenation unit independently developed by Sinopec and possessing independent intellectual property rights. The process technology was jointly developed by Shijiazhuang Refinery, Sinopec Engineering Construction Company and Petrochemical Science Research Institute. It is understood that the application of this new technology will reduce the sulphur content of diesel products by more than 80% compared with the current standard of automotive diesel, which can effectively reduce atmospheric pollution. Compared with traditional trickle bed hydrogenation technology, this technology can reduce the energy consumption of the device by more than 40%, and has significant economic and social benefits.
