Fire on the door with 830,000 Camry and RAV4 surveyed by US authorities

According to Reuters, the NHTSA of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the United States has already started a preliminary investigation before the start of a fire on the doors of Toyota models that complained about consumer complaints.

NHTSA said that six consumers complained that the 2007 Toyota Camry sedan and the RAV4 crossover SUV caught fire on the driver's side door. The survey involved about 830,000 vehicles and has not yet been recalled, but there may be a need for a recall in the future.

In the NHTSA document, the agency described it as follows: "Based on the available information, it appears that the flame originally came from the control switch of the power window on the driver's side door."

Toyota said on February 7th that it had received the Initial Evaluation Summary for the 2007 Camry and RAV4, but had not received any request notice from NHTSA and would wait for further news from NHTSA.
